Which have been the most appropriate and misfortune brands of the sort furloughed or cruiser?

First: Bajaj is Indian, not Chinese and Pulsar is a model of Bajaj, so made in India. Kymco is from Taiwan which makes it quite different from brands from mainland China.
Second: The Chinese are currently in a phase where they copy everyone else’s designs. Not just in motorcycles, but in all consumer goods. By plagiarizing, they avoid the expense of doing their own research and development. The problem is that they often copy without a full understanding of what they are copying, so for example, they will copy the design of a gearbox but manufacture it with the wrong materials. The result is that they end up with a product that is decidedly subpar by Western or Japanese standards. The Chinese themselves seem quite content with their products, but keep in mind that ridng/driving conditions in China are quite different than in the west and they have a different expectation of reliability. The same goes for their main export markets in Africa.
At this game the one company that seems to be the least worst of the bad is LIFAN the majority of whose products use copies of Honda engines and which also provides powertrains to other manufacturers. They are currently developing a 650cc model which, judging by the pictures on the web, is a cheap copy of the previous generation bmw F650GS.
Another model that copies bmw is the ChangJiang 750cc which is the Chinese copy of the Russian copy of the 1938 bmw R71. It’s definitely unique, but perhaps not everyone wants to ride a brand new 70 year-old motorcycle.

I sneaked into Communist China and talked to some of the 8-10 year old kids that work 12-16 hours a day for .06 cents an hour making them and they told me they weren’t really that good. They compared them to the kids toys that are made from lead and the pet food that kills your pet among other things. But then why spend your money any where else?
